I'm very much ashamed to admit I couldn't get into this album outside of the first two songs, which I've listened to countless times since they came out. Not sure why the rest of the album didn't click but those first two tracks are so sinister and heavy compared to the others, especially The Ocean, The Beast. I gave up on it nearly 15 years ago but I returned to it this week and holy fuck it's so, so good. Not sure what teenage me was on but goddamn this whole thing is incredible. I haven't been able to get If We Speak Quietly out of my head.

Yeah i remember listening to only a few tracks back in the day and only when i revisted this a few years back did i realize how good the whole thing was
If i listened to it in full and gave it more attention in my teenage years it would prob be a 5

I remember going to a show where they opened for Emarosa and Oceana (the Tide era) and completely wrote them off because I wasn’t familiar with LD at the time and didn’t watch their set… one of my biggest regrets.
