Might have to get this now. A friend of a friend put this on facebook as their most hated song (30 day song challenge) and I loved it.
Since you have compared this to Massive Attack, who I love, definately getting it.
I woud however add the element of rock into your description of trip-hop. Mezzanine is actualy laden with a number of quite heavy riffs. Good review nonetheless.

one of my better lines i think. i started listening to shadow and massive attack with my roommate and he caught onto shadow immediately and i caught onto massive attack until we slowly both started appreciating both.
