Yeah because legit 1 person who likes Hot Rats thinks that ever and it's you
Zappa's always cranking his hog, he's a flashy showoff, and this is no exception

dog they’re completely different genres. there’s a ton of people that are into an accessible rock album like this but don’t like jazz wankery

They're both jazz fusion (rock+jazz) and both incredibly wanky (in a good way)

Zappa's got more than 40 albums, but the majority of them are great tbh
Especially if you like weird goofy political stuff and good guitar parts

Lots to dig into agreed.

His stuff with The Mothers of Invention is pretty much all incredible. We're Only in It for the Money is still one of the most delightfully bizarre albums I've ever heard lol

We're Only in It for the Money is basically the best album of all time
gotta make sure it's not the 80s remaster, though, Zappa overdubbed the original drums with worse drums
The 60s version did get a little censored though, so I kinda recommend the newest remaster since it takes the 60s production more and tried to undo some of the censorship

I actually didn't know the 60s version was censored. Gonna have to check that newer remaster!

Yeah it's in 3 places:
-The uncensored version of "Concentration Moon" has Zappa take a jab at the Velvet Underground by saying "I get to work with The Velvet Underground. Which is as shitty a group as Frank Zappa's group." (they had a feud in the 60s)
-"Harry Is a Beast" back-masks the "don't cum in me, in me" line in the original, but this was done behind Zappa's back.
-Finally, "Mother People" had this line removed: “Better look around before you say you don’t care.
Shut your fucking mouth about the length of my hair
How would you survive if you were alive
Shitty little person.”
All cuz he said shit, fuck and cum
