yeah i mean i dont have anything against april fools on its own. its just that some people use it to just say whatever and then follow it up with "april fools!". but to me at least its not really clever unless it's clearly something that's probably untrue. Like for example: google usually has ideas that are somewhat believable but pretty out there that most people can see through but will trick a few people who aren't thinking about what day it is.



and i think that's who should be fooled; those who aren't paying attention to the date. but if a reliable source just tosses something out there as fact and then later says "LOL APRIL FOOLS" it just seems pretty half-assed. we as listeners/readers shouldn't have to take everything we hear on this date as untrue just because it happens to be april 1. Everyone should be suspicious today but theres really no reason to make something up unless it's at least somewhat clever, which this isn't.
