hexalogy is considered better than this by casuals that pose as seasoned veterans
for me, it is far too specific in its scope and requires a specific mood. this and modal soul are superior listening experiences imo, partly owing to the fact that nujabes actually created and signed off on the entire tracklist for each release

Hexalogy is far better than this. Unifying theme and superior (or at least more profound than this one's obsequious Chill factor) rap performance transcends the need for an authorial stamp (almost made a death of the author comment but jfc yikes - also helps to consider that Shing02's vision is equally important and very much delivered to a final form)
Can understand taking Modal Soul over this for sure - far more mature release and really well balanced tracklist. So so satisfying. Instrumentals have more meat and mileage, rap is mostly more shrewdly incorporated
This is full of weak performances, cornball lines and shrapnel songs (no weak beats though!) Can 100% throw a [3] down for Ryus' take on this alb alone. Very much an innocuous first steps package
