i mean liberalism and libertarianism share similar ideas on how markets should work, privatisation, and unrealistic views on 'civility' but they have differences
liberals tend to have a big warhawk interventionist foreign policy whereas libertarians tend to be protectionist, at least in terms of how the government's foreign policy works (and apparently doesn't apply to multinational corporations)
whereas liberals tend to have slightly better social attitudes other than 'give me free weed and i guess the gays are ok', although this is still something they are willing to sacrifice in order to protect the market
