Nah, that's a bit too extreme, especially regarding the treatment of children, but i'm not some gibsmedat socialist either

i mean liberalism and libertarianism share similar ideas on how markets should work, privatisation, and unrealistic views on 'civility' but they have differences

liberals tend to have a big warhawk interventionist foreign policy whereas libertarians tend to be protectionist, at least in terms of how the government's foreign policy works (and apparently doesn't apply to multinational corporations)

whereas liberals tend to have slightly better social attitudes other than 'give me free weed and i guess the gays are ok', although this is still something they are willing to sacrifice in order to protect the market

"modern liberalism just chooses to frame the argument from the perspective of "equal playing field for all because we are ALL human"
whereas libertarianism frames the argument from the perspective of "if you can't deal, die, we'll move on without you""

Largely accurate, yes

"whereas libertarianism frames the argument from the perspective of "if you can't deal, die, we'll move on without you""

That doesn't seem accurate to me.

It's a difference between voluntary charity and coercion

"sorry you feel coerced into actually helping other people"

If they're stealing a portion of my paycheck and threatening punishment for noncompliance, it objectively IS coercion.

Youre busy bitching about taxation meanwhile the bigwigs you work for take large sums of what you should be payed and you pay people just to live in your own house.

Okay yeah you have your priorities straight.
