Heavy Horses is 3rd for me. Sometimes I think it might actually be my personal favourite even though I know Aqualung and particularly TAAB are better from an objective view point. Minstrel is prob 4th.

Yours is no Disgrace and Starship Trooper are the strenght of the Yes Album and it's not enough to be worthy of Gates of Delirium alone.

Who write the lyrics for Relayer?

I think the author of the lyrics has always been Jon Anderson. Not sure though.

Agreed, although I personally don't hold Roots to Branches in as high regard as those other 3 you mentioned. Still love it though.

APP is the craziest album ever.

Rules so hard like most Tull tbh.

Agreed. I love everything Tull did during their classic era (from their debut up to and including Stormwatch). Warchild is the weakest of those but even that has a certain appeal to it and some fantastic songs. They released several really enjoyable albums after Stormwatch too.

Need to delve deeper into their catalog tbh.

My only gripe with Roots to Branches would be Ian's vocals that could be more powerful.

Yeah shame that he had to have throat surgery (in the mid 80's), his vocals were never the same after that.
Also I personally don't find the songwriting quite as good as classic Tull on some songs on Roots to Branches.

Roots to Branches is at least a 4 in my book.
|

Yeah it's a 4 for me. I love it, don't get me wrong, it's easily the best Tull album since their classic era. It's just not quite up there with the likes of A Passion Play, Songs From the Wood, Heavy Horses etc. for me.
