I think they were all singles

Yep, there were 6 singles. Each track is side A/B of a single.

It's so weird because my biggest issue with this is that the songs feel too much like part of an album rather than stand alone songs, I can't really think of a standout other than Jimmybreeze

i love this cause each track stands out to me yet they all flow and meld together beautifully. Apt 1/2, JimmyBreez 1, I Promise... 1, and Bike 2 i could listen to on their own at any time and get the same amont of enjoyment. There rest just act as perfect segues to but are still quite memorable on their own too.
album is just a trip, a perfect trip

I'm a bit mixed on the rapping
in some occassions (the first two songs) they add a whole new dimension to the surrealness of the beats, while on other (a shit ton of) occassions they're useless to me
But man oh man do these beats go hard. I think this would've been stronger as an instrumental hip-hop album

so many people say that and honestly it just wouldnt be the same without dose and why for me, they just add so much flair

On a technical level I can't really comment on the rapping. I can't imagine the songs without the vocals, on initial listens I was
always excited when the vocals reemerged. It's cliche to say, but I really consider the vocals just as another instrument thrown
into the overall dreamy mix.

Tsssssk I DUNNO, they didn't seemed to be doing much in there other than just kinda be there because they had to to me, and the lyrics aren't really helping since a lot of the times they're not really saying anything they're just mumbling weird stuff
But I will say I was distracted while listening to this for my second time (playing Diablo 3 I said it), instead of just letting the album soak me in, so maybe that's what I need to do

yeah, exactly @Wadlez. they really keep things interesting throughout the whole run. Even if the lyrics are sometimes nonsense the delivery is just so damn unique and heartfelt; you can tell they were having a blast making this thing. Plus the way they kinda half-rap half-sing going up and down the scales is just brilliant. And there's some seriously thought-provoking one liners here too.
This is just so much more than a rap album to me, though. so I could understand one going into it expecting cutting edge lyricism and crazy flows being disappointed. But hey at least Illogic is there to bust some great ass rhymes.

Their flows are really odd and interesting I'll give them that
The sampling is some brilliant shit

oh definitely
I think most can agree that the production on here is perfect, or damn near close to it.

On a side note, I don't know what it is, but I don't enjoy Ten nearly as much as this.

i heard a few random tracks off Ten last weekend and yeah didn't vibe with me nearly as hard as this one does. still gotta give it a proper jam though

As soon as JimmyBreeze was done I immediately looked up the samples and I haven't smiled like a fool
at sampling since I learned that Kanye sampled Courage the Cowardly Dog

i don't know any of the samples on this but i think one of the tracks samples the power bomb from Super Metroid

this is a good site for finding the samples of stuff http://www.whosampled.com/
not perfect but it's as good as we're gonna get I guess
but yea, I believe there is a small sample of that as well as a few other games by Konami on JimmyBreeze

I was going crazy trying to recollect why the sample at 2:00 on JimmyBreeze (1) sounded so familiar. It's from Excitebike. I remember playing it on NES at my neighbor's house.
