White Cluster is one of the greatest closers of all time. [∞]
It's my number one favorite closer, period. And the gorgeous acoustic piece at the end that symbolizes the two lovers finally being together in death UGHHHHH da feeeeelzzzaaa.
Seriously though, for me this easily Opeth's most emotional album, and that's why it's my favorite

That solo in Serenity turns on the waterworks man. I've always felt it's supposed to be protagonist murdering the shit out of all those guards in a fit of rage and pain

genuinely too consistent and cohesive for me to pick a favorite personally
the drumming on face of melinda and heavy bits of serenity painted death are small standout moments for me

Yes, and it's the only weak moment on the album.
Serenity Painted Death is my favorite because it's as if they took everything that makes the album incredible and put it into a single song.

Godhead's Lament is my personal favorite, but I fucking love the big solo in White Cluster

Moonlapse Vertigo is underappreciated imo. That guitar part in the middle is pure bliss and probably my favorite moment on the album. But that's close. It could be the White Cluster climax solo as well, because of how good it serves as a finale to the whole album/story.

My favorite part in Moonlapse is that one guitar riff in the beginning of the song (right before the soft verse) when the lead guitars are playing the same notes in two separate octaves. That part is beautiful
