i dont think "giving a platform to a sexual predator" is problematic in this case cuz jesse doesnt promote the habit of being a sexual predator as far as i know, either intentionally (in his music) or inadvertently (maybe hes doin it by dodging accountability for the issue?). i mean maybe its problematic if brand new hits the road this year or puts out further records (which i wouldnt say is problematic for reasons other than that we're "givin him a platform") but since we're just talkin about records that have already been released, i think its ok.
givin a platform to a bad person by promoting them (but not their bad behaviour) is probably not an entirely ok thing to do in a burzum situation where the person spreads bad shit as a result of their fame (in varg's case, white supremacy), but if they aint doin that, its probably ok. that these bad people who dont make immoral art or express immoral things are "elevated" could be a bad thing, but i dont see a problem with giving them a platform to make nice art and express nice things (unless we accept that their elevation is inherently a consequence of giving them a platform).
