Amnesiac and In Rainbows are better than both though.

Bends keep climbing down the ranking sadly.

Amnesiac > In Rainbows > OK Computer > Kid A > The King of Limbs >The Bends > Hail to the Thief > Pablo Honey

Hail has better highlights than Bends, but Bends is more consistent.

Good ranking, HTTT would be much higher if it didn't have the flow of a compilation. I just can't get over that.

i know what you mean about hail's flow though i think it definitely has a cohesive atmosphere. i just can't rank an album low that has 2+2, sit down, backdrift, where i end, young blood (though I know some don't like), punchup, myxomatosis and wolf at the door all on one release.

Oh, I 4'd it, but I just think all of their other albums (barring Pablo and maybe The Bends) top it.

The Bends definitely tops this for me. I'd put this above Pablo Honey and HTTT though.

im a bit surprised by the general consensus toward Thief......i find the material to be rather strong, especially when played at a loud volume.....perhaps a bit too long

It's a collection of mostly amazing songs, but so are all Radiohead albums except Pablo. So it just comes off as a bit worse than the rest due to its poor flow (it was a bit rushed since Radiohead was trying to complete their 6 album contract...) so it kind of makes sense.

It's a testament to their consistency as a band that HTTT is like their 5/6th best album.

I will say this, the parenthetical song titles definitely screw me up
