Worse than Grand Conjuration and Weakness? I think not

I finished listening to the album once again. I'd say, for me, it goes like this:

Hessian Peel

The Lotus Eater

Coil = Burden

Hex Omega = Heir Apparent

Porcelain Heart

Aww, didn't like Porcelain heart? It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

The Lotus Eater though... fucking wow

I've listened to it in the past quite some times. Porcelain Heart was never my favorite. I used to skip it.

It's a decent, solid song. Some parts drag on for a bit too long, but that's the only negative about it.

both songs are way more consistent

I find hex is just...there. starts out like a bat out of hell before falling on it's ass and noodling around for a while before a very underwhelming outro. snooooooze omega

It's decent, but that's the problem. Not good enough when there's songs like Lotus Eater or Hessian Peel. The drop of quality is very noticable, and I wish it was just cut out.

Yeah, that's true about the Lotus Eater and hessian Peel, but it was always going to be unlikely to have songs to the calibre of The Lotus Eater

The Grand Conjuration rules [2] but it's not even the closer, so the comparison is useless.

Oh damn, I forgot about Isolation years. Yeah, my bad. Hex Omega is still better than Weakness

Indeed. Weakness is interesting but not better than Hex Omega.

Hex is very solid and pretty cool, but Isolation Years is a lot more emotional and genuine so it's better. Both are definitely better than Weakness lol

Yeah, Isolation Years is much better but the closer from PC sounds good and may be better than all of these

Hopefully it will be. And I like Weakness but it's probably their weakest closer tbh

Well I don't like Epilogue at all, so it beats that. I don't find either remotely appealing
