Cities is great, it's probably an objective 4-4.5. The highlights are amazing but there are definitely tracks that drag it down to an impartial listener.
ReadyFuels is a great song.

well first define radio rock
I've long used it to define alt metal like three days grace and linkin park
right off the bat there ya go
2nd songs like, well, all of their closers ever aren't radio rock in any sense (listen to God, Drugs, & Sex as a prime example). if you mean their music can be played on the radio then okay sure I guess, but that's a really large sweeping category and is a virtually worthless distinction to make
Anyways, it's hilarious that there's a claim that Anberlin is a "slightly above average radio rock band" from someone who 3.5'ed "Your Favorite Weapon" (which, let's be honest, is slightly above average standard pop punk---and yes I quite enjoy YFW but lol at the idea that it's anything beyond enjoyable)
Don't get me wrong, criticism is all good and fair, but the elitism of dismissing a band so casually is one of the examples of what is wrong with Sputnik, even though it's gotten better thankfully since sonic's ban

it's like sputnik has a collective attention span of 3 sec and if you post anything longer than a snarky one liner (that in reality has no substance but gives off some aura of coolness/elitism) than you're relegated to "lol cares too much" status

no it doesn't and I hate the argument where you bring other people's taste as though it's relevant to the original discussion.
still, I hate sweeping generalizations with almost no actual substance even more, especially when the person is a bit contradictory about it, specifically because it creates this lurking suspicion that the person only said the comment to seem cool, snarky, and elitist (with no basis for the claims) which is a bit irritating because let's face it, you want people to like what you like. it's just basic psychology (note: i've taken 0 quarters of psych)
