It'll wear around the same average as any of their other main albums since Ulcerate fans want, you guessed it, more Ulcerate.

Just read the last 5 pages of this thread and all I can say is... thank you.

“So Row what you're saying is that this is the band's best album? If so I agree”

I’ve seen a lot of comments claiming THIS album is what turned a lot of formerly disinterested people onto this band. I have no idea why that would be the case. It’s not as heavy as Fire. It’s not as bone-chilling as Destroyers. It’s a sonic wall of stale bread.

Some people prefer a slice of melody here and there. I've only checked Shrines from these guys, but I like this one better and I think that's the reason why.

Diet Shrines would be a good way to describe this. It’s like they took the gravel-grinding teeth out of that album, tossed in some gratuitous melodramatic riffs, and slapped their label on it.

Why does the universe eventually produce consciousness and death metal?

Is it the entire point of universal creation?

Ah yes, an Ouroboros scenario. Good point.

At some point a death metal album will produce a new big bang.
