If you find this boring you probably didn't listen to it enough. After a single listen I picked out a couple songs and figured I should listen again. There's just so much to absorb.

Suggesting 'Pillars of Sand' is boring is a flat out lie. lol

Actually, I find it to be one of the most emotionally fulfilling albums in modern tech metal... very beautiful and atmospheric

Tons of great talent here, no doubt. Though there are only a few songs I care to return to.

Feel the same way DooRight, why I listen to a ton BM these days. This album gives me that emotion though, might take more listens to find it, because I only gave this like a 3.5-4 on first listen. The last 2 tracks especially are really emotional. Definitely know where you're coming from though.

"when's the last time you felt hope swell within your bones from listening to thrash"

Honestly, THIS was the record that returned that feeling to me. I haven't been so strongly attached to a new tech/prog metal album in ages

Yeah it's too long and too conceptual to really pick out a couple jams to enjoy outside of listening to the album as a whole. A very interesting album though.

That's like...your opinion, man.

Black Future>Outer Isolation>Terminal Redux for me. Pretty close between Black Future and Outer Isolation...
