@talons: haha i'll be avoiding it then. haven't revisited system either cause they released it like 5 months before the full-length, wanna keep things fresh

edit: checked the setlist and they played 9/12 of the new songs

It's really good sound quality, kinda sounds like decent demoes with all the instruments nice and loud.

I can't quite believe that they did this, but glad to hear the album 2 months early of course.

That's weird they did that. I'll definitely avoid it. Didn't Bob Iver do something similar ahead of 22, A Million?

'The System Only Dreams' sounds incredible in the live performance, you listen to it here and I have a tough time thinking it isn't their greatest song of all time. Seriously.

Walk it Back is perfect too. Other stuff clearly is supposed to have better ambience and subtlety like Guilty Party, which I'm sure will be a great smoky nocturnal number on the studio album (seems to be some sort of horn/trumpet noise in the background that's barely audible here?)

On this evidence...I still think the album will be a Doof 5

omg i'm loving all these new titles, tho i'll prob wait to listen

also hoping that Bon Iver changes his name to Bob Iver when he inevitably makes a 'return-to-roots' kind of album

I don't think I've ever had a national song almost make me cry so quickly.

Live version is great of this one too with the intertwining guitars at the end
