Moonchild is one of my favourite king crimson songs ):

It barely qualifies as a song tbh

Their improvisations are great and all, but I don't think any of them would make my top 20 or even 30 favorite King Crimson songs except Fracture and maybe Providence or Moonchild.
I really like Moonchild, especially the beginning ballad section with the lyrics, but the rest of the 9 minutes could've been pared down and not drag on for so long.

| |
If it was shorter it would be less immersive though

The middle section gets pretty random and goofy sounding imo that it kinda takes me out of the experience anyway. It does get beautiful again for the last like two minutes though, like I said it's still a really great track.

The first section of Moonchild is so soothing. I love it
The rest of the song is nonsense for me tho

I can see its midde section with like, three notes being played on guitar for two minutes turning some people off, but I've learned to appreciate it over time, specially since it works as a great build up for the orgasmic climax

Yea Starless is amazing, like everything great about the band in one epic song that ends the last album of their classic period.
|
| |
"three notes being played on guitar" Nah I'd say that's one of the better parts, especially just before the solo its super tense
|
| |
lol wtf my version of moonchild is like 3 minutes long

I was gonna say haha

Or up. only thing keeping me from 5ing this instantly is when the band starts playing the mission impossible theme in Schizoid man. Ill probably 5 it though with an intense listen this month

Schizoid Man might be the most consistent song on the album for me

That jazzy instrumental section is sick. Epitaph is my favorite on here though, incredible song.

Epitaph's my second favorite but I think that for such a long song, it would be interesting if it was more diverse. It's kinda repetitive
Don't get me wrong, still a fucking 5/5 song for me
