"really says so much about how far hip hop has strayed when you think you can rate an album
excellent and not like the artist as a person."
Lambsbread, you're on Sputnik. This is not something like RapGenius where most people would
actually care about whether someone is "real" or not, this is a general music site. And most
people on this site pretty much judge hip-hop with the same lens as they would any other music
genre. There's a reason for which Burzum and Mayhem are incredibly popular on this site, (and the
people behind those acts have done some really insane shit)

All this talk of rappers being 'real' and whatnot actually reminds me of a time in primary school when my friend was proclaiming how great Eminem was because he tied a rope to some-guy's knob (who he caught his gf/wife cheating with), and tied the other end to his car and drove off - I'm pretty sure he got that from the lyrics.
He also said that Eminem visited his dad's shop (in England)...

Sorry for giving credibility to the idea that people don't like Kanye's music because of his
personality. His music and his personality are equally as bad, and I would still think his music
sucked if I had no idea who he is. Nowdays if he isn't just producing a beat (if he raps), he has no
chance of making good music, only mindless listen-to-while-blacked-out party stuff for people who are
apparently incapable of cringing to the most cringe-worthy music imaginable.
"i swear you make this exact comment 10 times a day" not my fault this site bumps 10 bad new hip hop
albums a day.

You're missing the point. When talking about "you can rate an album excellent and not like the
artist as a person." We mean his personality outside the music is judged on a separate level
from what he says in the music. He can say all the bullshit he wants in real life, but when
judging his music, all that matters is what he says in the music. And believe me, I agree
with what you say about this album, the main reason I rate this so high is actually because many of
the songs here can end up being comically bad.

"We mean his personality outside the music is judged on a separate level
from what he says in the music." Right but you completely ignore that what he says in the music is just as stupid as what he does in real life, then you justify giving this painfully stupid stuff a pass because of mediocre beats, and start acting like anyone who doesn't like it doesn't like him because of the GW Bush incident.
"Yo Lambs, when you find out that your favourite rapper isn't what he seems" good show but if you actually follow the series hes making fun of new rappers like Kanye, not emcees like KRS-One (or in the show, Ghostface). The main difference between being an emcee and a rapper is emcees practice what they preach.

^ For me its more of a critique on the people (rather than rappers) that mindlessly follow artists who they believe to live up to false ideals - in this case gangsterism.

yeah that's what he's doing with the character Riley, but Gangstalicious and his song Thuggin Love definitely seems like a satire of modern day rap specifically, I doubt it would even be a stretch to say he was referencing Kanye specifically.

1.I actually gave this a pass because it's so stupid, songs like Black Skinhead are so
laughably bad I can't help but enjoy them for it, this album's more of a guilty pleasure than
anything
2.there are a fair amount of people who don't like him for the GW Bush and Taylor Swift incidents,
and dismiss everything he's done on account of his outside behavior only
