I'm just glad it feels alive again after the production on Ashes. that album feels so synthetic for me compared to this and The Mantle.

I talked to jon's wife at a show in Chicago years back after they played and got to meet him too. But she said he hated the way ashes sounded and him and the producer didn't see eye to eye on the production of the album
