alright, as much as I'm used to seeing...questionable takes from you (I'm being polite mmmkay) if you're gonna:

Well.. the new album does sound like obzen to a big degree so the fact that you pretty much 3'd both prob has something to do with it.

Have you heard the album? Like at all and no, singles don't count. I love how my "3's" somehow cop more questionable discourse than my 1.5's etc - especially from those who seem/sound to think I owe them either a higher rating on principal, regardless of whether they've heard the album or not.

I'm not to worried about what others are rating lol.

But you are dear. You've singled out my score and filled a whole page on "it's weird".

early reviews always tend to be very positive. hmmmm

What reviews? On the media sources who rely on clicks to stay afloat and will 5/5 anything that lands in their inboxes for the "hits/revenue"?

My man.... LMAO. Im not hating on you. You gave the new album a 2.7... You also gave obzen a 3 pretty much the same score. Hell if obzen is a 3 to you and the new album is pretty much the same score in your opinion then hell to 500 ppl here it's going to be a great album because again based off your score its just as good as obzen is lol..... that's all I meant by it. You 3 half the albums you review it is what it is. Its not going to make the legions of meshuggah fans here think of the album any less. Its your rating. Some albums click some dont

Hopefully the deeper cuts are better than what we've heard so far.

From what I have read from early reviews, we have yet to hear the best from this album

Singles rule yeah. If the 2 singles are the baseline quality what to expect from the majority of the album with 3-4 even stronger tracks thrown in that's a dammmnnnn good album imo. Cant wait

"If its meshuggah doing what they do"

I mean, that's kinda my problem with later Meshuggah though. Ever since Obzen they've pretty much been on autopilot. Not saying Obzen or Koloss are bad - they're pretty solid - but usually their prior records would have a musical "theme" that would serve as a cool variation on their formula. For instance, Nothing shows the groovier, more doomy side of the band, Catch 33 has the whole "single song broken up into suites" thing, etc. Tbh, I would prefer something to that effect, rather than a band perpetually spinning their wheels artistically

Hahahaha. I get you Koris I guess. Some Ppl just want to much i feel like. Their going to be meshuggah and play In their style that's what is most important. I'm not going to sit here and say I'm a dickrider and would 5 anything the band puts out. (I'm pushing it lol). But as long as meshuggah are being meshuggah and playing and continuing to do what they do I'm 100 percent happy with that.

Dude, I am a Meshuggah dickrider and will probably 5 almost anything they would put out lmfao

I'm only really like that with these guys though, and I guess Death and maybe like one other artist I'm forgetting
