Yeah, seeing them tonight and I'm pretty hyped after seeing the setlist. Not too turned on about the newer songs but rather the old epics like Ghost of Perdition or The Leper Affinity.

i'm surprised theyre playing masters apprentices, i know mikael has said in interviews he doesnt like the songs on deliverance other than the t/t. looks like a decent setlist but yeah i could do without 3 new songs

The show turned out to be pretty good, no surprises there. Mikael was pretty enthusiastic and funny, as he tends to be. The three new songs were alright, not great but not bad either. They sound like a bridge between their death metal stuff and the later retro prog.

Worst middle-era Opeth, not much quality control over the songwriting, sounds rather silly at times. Unlistenable if you're a proper adult. Watershed much improved upon this formula.

Haven't seen them since they'd not long released Watershed - they were amazing every time, think I saw them 3 times and yeah, every performance ruled.

I'm very sad because I saw them once as one of the support bands at a live show of Dream Theater.

As I'm a huge fan of the band, that is a very sad thing for me.

it's funny, becaue the older i got the more i appreciated the sheer quality of the riffs on display here and on other opeth albums. suppose i didn't actually mature.
