I was going to mention Sunpocrisy but they're nowhere near this in terms of heaviness, still a great band and absolutely worth checking

There's a band pulling an Amia Venera Landscape move. They're dropping a monster of an album right before Christmas just like these guys did all those years ago. The album is a lot like this except no clean signing and none of the ambient parts. I'm not sure it's quite as good as this, but I can't see anyone that likes this not liking that.... the band is Yashira and the album is "Fail To Be"

Yashira rules but I wouldn’t put them near the stature of this record

I would agree with botb on Yashira. Fun band nonetheless.

I don’t really get the comparison (2), should perhaps revisit this and check.

That Yashira album goes hard though.

List of magical unicorn bands who appear and drop familiar yet so distinct g.o.a.t tier albums in their respective genre then vanish?

1) Amia

2) Yndi Halda

3) Rinoa

Yindi released another banger in 2016, so it's not a one and goner like these guys.
