yeah Providence can appear a little bloated, i get that. i guess at that point i kinda stop thinking of the album as three separate songs and just hear it as this immersive collection of sounds. i just kinda fall into it... like a daydream, or a fever

I haven't really listened to the album together for a while now but I remember the first two songs being great but Providence feels like the parts don't connect with each other. Like they were parts put together just to make it 30 minutes. Also nice reference brah

i get what you mean.. i guess technically the songs are separated into "movements" with all their own titles and stuff, you can follow along with that if that would help you organize it.

That's what I like about Providence, it's taken such a toll they've found a sense of new hope as everything is crashing down. Nothing seems like reality anymore and nothing is connected.

so besides Johnnytwentythree, is there any recommendable non/obscure post-rock out there that rips off GY!BE? I always see people compare new bands to Mogwai/Explosions but nobody seems to mention Godspeed clones. Which is bad bc I want them.
