That's my friend's staunch favorite, and one of mine but I think Sea of Love, Cap, and Graceless might be even better.

That one is my favorite too, along with Graceless and Hard to Find. Personally this is probably my favorite National album.

2nd favorite, right behind Alligator. And i guess Boxer and HV are tied for me.
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
Fuck it, it's a 5. Also it's better than their other albums. Boxer and HV are close 2nds. Alligator is good but I don't see how anyone can put it in the same league as their other masterpieces.
"Looking for Astronauts" is number 1. But that's also among a lot of people's least favorites so guess I'm backwards.

I think they are as alive as ever, my friend. But only time will tell. Can't wait for the new album. I noticed you gave all their other albums favorable ratings; are you expecting the new album to be poor as well?

ya they used to write songs tht had drums and interesting lyrics. idk what happened
i hope it's good. i don't know why they'd put in the effort tho when this one was received so favorably
|
| |
This is arguably their best album lyrically, at least tied with Alligator imo

That's unfortunate, man. I'd say, depending on the day, this is either my #1 or #2 National album.
