nah buds it doesn't work so well as a cohesive whole, Moonchild is a waste of time, and the transition between the opener and I Talk To The Wind can be a turnoff
it definitely deserves praise but calling it their best is just unfair to the band's later work

i like larks, starless, and red more than this one
every crimson is completely different from the one before though. and prog in general doesnt have rules by its very nature, so just listen to everything. i mean "prog" nowadays basically means 12-minute songs or some noticable dream theater trick, but as far as shit thats truly progressive, there's not a lot in common between gong, jethro tull, hatfield and the north, return to forever, etc etc.

Hot take: Moonchild is a masterpiece and one of their bests, misunderstood because most prog fans are completely ignorant on free improv and jazz. Also 21st schizoid man is the weakest track because it borrows from the mission impossible theme.
