"Two-headed boy, there's no reason to grieve
The world that you need is wrapped in gold, silver sleeves
Left beneath Christmas trees in the snow
And I will take you and leave you alone
Watching spirals of white softly flow
Over your eyelids and all you did
Was wait until the point when you let go"
Pure poetry.

I would argue against anyone saying Mangum is lacking at all lyrically.
His lyrics can be provocative but are never for shock factor. Every line he sings is bizarre but he has brilliant sense for the pulse and tone of his lyrics which creates a totally authentic voice. I don't know what he means by "semen stains the mountain tops" but I wouldn't say it is a bad line by any means. It's used in a way that reinforces the human character and we are made up of all these rather disturbing aspects, and I would argue that art naturally focuses on the extremes of our existence, just think of all the songs about death. Anyway I think the visual and symbolism alone make it a brilliant line.
Sorry I'm pretty inept at explaining myself but there you go =)
