Yes! The End had loud/soft dynamics and predicted a lot of what post-rock would be. The Pixies got it from Cowpunk though. Angst and The Gun Club.

I don't mind if you change it, but that cover just gives me serious nostalgic vibes. While most creamed themselves over Tera Melos, I was so disappointed that BTEOT split up before releasing more material.

Anyone else here jam the For Carnation self-titled album? I've been listening to that daily the last couple weeks, almost as good as this tbh.

Yes, that album is great. Not quite as unique or sinister as this, but a great slowcore album.
