How come, I saw this on some tweet of record of the year list. Never heard of this band, but the band name is reminiscent of cryptocurrency.

'Fair. Ironically, I don't think that i would even be aware of this albums existence if it weren't for Sputnik.'

I became aware of them due to that twat Zane Lowe on the radio (apparently he's a massive tool, appropriately his fave band, or so he says anyway).

since then he appears to have been cancelled for reasons that go together quite well with the more uncomfortable side of everything that surrounds bands that pander to a teenage audience. Always thought he was a creepy fake fuck

I think that was actually the last time I purposefully listened to the radio, must've been during the previous album release cycle, I blame the wife (I mean it was her idea)

god time flies when you're having fun(?), literally page 1 of their debut...

'Never trust an upcoming band that gets radio 1 airplay (UK), occasionally they fluke it (Black Peaks comes to mind), but usually not. I've heard one track by these guys and it wasn't terrible, just sleep inducing.'

I was ahead of the curve with that take, I won't lie (although I did say it wasn't terrible, hmm... to be fair I think they were 'better' early on. I mean it'd be hard for anyone not to be better than Sleep Token are now)

lol isn't that what he says about every artist that goes to his show? never could stand that douchebag nor his interviews except for that TMV one and that was cause Cedric and Omar pretty much took control

It's pretty good from a pop standpoint, unfornately it's weak instrumentally. Fans of heavy music probably won't like them.

Idk what album/fanbase is more insufferable this year, Sleep Token with this record or Noah Kahan/Stick Season.
