As someone who has never been a fan of CoF’s brand of metal, I find it odd that this album is rated so poorly among the fan-base. In my opinion it is so fucking far above any of their other material that it makes me wonder if perhaps a completely different band wrote it.

I feel like if metal archives didnt exist this would have a higher average. First Cradle I ever heard front to back and might be as good as Nymphetmine IMO

the thing is is that they abandonned much of their metal sound and went completely rock n roll style on here. there's also no big highlight like bathory aria or saffron's curse, unless you count the highly addictive and enjoyable but still joke song in temptation. in other words it's fun and poppy af and some ppl just can't enjoy that when it comes along
