Piss and Inveigh, SOME your comments regarding Covenant are just flat out ignorant. It's the most accessible and most
successful death metal album for a reason. How can you not remember every note on this album Piss, nevertheless

This is a very good album as I admit I neglected it as well. When I saw this tour, I definitely didn't appreciate as much as
if I saw it now. Can't blame anyone for not going to this album as it certainly isn't a classic MA album, regardless of how
good it is.
Considering this better than Covenant is blasphemy :D
I don't think either argument is ignorant. I was just saying this album's more consistent than Covenant, and I like the production more; I definitely neglected it when I first got into Morbid Angel. listening to it now I like it just as much as Covenant, and probably more.
Thinking Covenant is superior would be the more common opinion, so it's not like I think you're wrong or anything. But I think this one was neglected by a lot of people for a variety of factors, chief among which would be that death metal was not cool in 1997.

The bottom line is this, it's a hell of a lot different when you're presented with a discography and listen to it all at once opposed to experiencing and giving each album (for years) an equal amount of 'play' as they were released.
Any old school MA fan can tell you that Vincent was the man back in the day, before his egotistical tendencies started to get in the way. He was the face of Morbid Angel. Hey Piss, Geddy Lee wasn't Rush's original vocalist either, among a bunch of other amazing bands. Sandoval wasn't the original drummer either from that garage band you boast so much about as well. Is that ridiculous as well? Some folks just like David Vincent for his voice, style, and persona that he presented at that time.
There are clear discrepancies within the different generations of MA fans, nevertheless the discrepancies with music as a whole as well.
