Ashes is infinitely worse than anything on the self titled, but I can see this being... arithmetically on par with that album. Rejoice and Statica are cool tracks, I wouldn't mind hearing more of this stoned MIDI funk from them.

Tbh this is just a few guitar leads, better drum fills, and less half assed vocal melodies away from being half decent and I swear to Christ that’s not even backhanded



Genuinely agree there’s something here that COULD be good, but this ain’t it. Like, I’m not at all against this sound, it’s something they very much flirted with on LIBAD, thing is those songs still had some of the pieces of what made me fall in love with this band in the first place.



More Easier and Ordinary, less Ashes. I honestly do like the title track.

For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed.
