I actually had to do it because there really isn't anything here to gripe too hard about. also a top five band for me. I have never disliked anything they have ever done. there is nobody like them

This is a special album.

Doberman, Magnolia, Amethyst, Body Behavior, Winoa, The Marvelous Orange Tree... whichever one I heard last is my favorite
|
| |
My main gripe is that some passages are too quiet - the melodic break on Revelator and Incidental III are so quiet I need to double the volume if I want to hear anything (I'm sure it's better through earphones but on my stereo system)

Now people are starting to get it.
Also, read into the lyrics y'all. George is brilliant.
|
| |
I have always found him to be a serious genius in that department. the lyricism is very much an apparent huge gain I have always held with this band
|
| |
It’s really always been about the bands sound, but as I said his lyrical value is beyond top notch. makes you think

I won't pretend I don't prefer the stately post rock weight and melodies (ie You Fucking Know) but that's pure preference and this album is a raging success. Go the band!

Read the interview where he explains the rationale behind the cover art for all their albums, he's a very interesting guy, although a lot of it was serendipity not some deep meaningful process
