Bummer they lost their nuts on this one, the first Post Human was the best (read: actually fun and tolerable) they've sounded in ages.

This albums biggest problem is it's distinct lack of imagination. Whether it's 'Top 10 Statues...' riff torn straight from Killswitch Engage, blatant [insert Deftones track here] with 'Limousine', or (MCR was massive back in the day, let's do that) with 'Lost', it all seems too familiar to me.

Whilst I get that the same can be said for everything post Sempiternal, it feels a bit desperate on this album. Amo definitely had it's fair share of deja vu moments (In The Dark's Ed Sheeran'isms / Wonderful Life's Oasis style hook) but it still feels somewhat cohesive and unique, within this particular genre anyway.

Despite this, I still have Nex Gen as a 3.5 due to the simple fact, it's a fun listen. Not a particularly interesting one, but certainly enjoyable nonetheless.

wish they'd make an entire album of gabber/speedcore/breakcore style tracks instead of relegating them to interludes

If someone told me they threw a load of 2000's hits from the metal/punk genre into an AI generator, and this was the result, I'd believe them.

Darkside has that Sum-41 Still Waiting vocal melody going, always instantly recognise it when I hear it

Yeah I dig this but def not as much as the EP. I think that the reason why I liked that one was cause it was brief. 55 mins is tooooooo fuckin long for this kinda shit
