@flabby that's frickin awesome man. Only had that experience twice ever. Got to see Insomnium play Winter's Gate all the way through, and Opeth do all of Watershed. Truly epic stuff.

that’s a good prompt…
What bands have you guys seen do full album sets and what bands would you like to see full album sets from?
I think the only one I’ve seen is Foxing playing Draw Down the Moon in its entirety at the record release show. Chelsea Wolfe’s setlist rn has every song on her new record but it’s not in order at all so idk if I’d count that.
Personally, I’d give up a kidney to see NIN play The Fragile in full.

@Snake. it can be that bad, I got family out there. Its a dead city of nothingness, makes sense some good emo would come out of there.
@wildcard list of most of the ones I have seen live performed in full. Didn't realize how large this list would get, anniversary shows have been a hot trend:
Blink-182 - Enema of the State
Streetlight Manifesto - Everything Went Numb
Underoath - Only Chasing Safety
August Burns Red - Leveler
Taking Back Sunday - Tell All Your Friends, Where You Want to Be, Louder Now
Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue
La Dispute - Wildlife
The World is a Beautiful Place - Whenever, If Ever
Thrice - The Artist in the Ambulance
The Wonder Years - The Upsides, Suburbia I've Given Up You All, The Greatest Generation
Foxing - Albatross
Thursday - Full Collapse
The Hotelier - Home, Like No Place is There
The Fall of Troy - Phantom on the Horizon
Mayday Parade - A Lesson in Romantics
The Microphones - The Microphones in 2020 (single song, so count it)
The Word Alive - Deceiver (lol)
Protest the Hero - Fortress
Norma Jean - Redeemer
Silverstein - When Broken is Easily Fixed

Yeah, anniversary shows are HOT of late and don’t be fooled by the above guys, as sometimes even decent bands do them

I’m not as huge on tool these days but good lord I would eat some mushrooms and try to meet god. That sounds like a borderline religious experience.

Yeah, it was incredible. And their encore was frickin Third Eye.
There's an Opeth concert they did at Webster Hall that ranks a bit higher for me because they played one or two of my top two or three favorite songs from every single one of their metal albums. They opened with Ghost Of Perdition and then their encore was Blackwater Park (the song). Best concert ever. Tool at Radio City is a close second.
I would love to see these guys live.

Saw them last march at a local little dive with maybe 30 other people and they crushed.
Then I saw them again in May opening for Converge. Really seems like they won the crowd over

think around the time they started calling incessant chugging over blastbeats "technical" and "progressive" is when i decided to trust my ears over genre tags

Genres/subgenres are useful for helping to guide people towards bands that sound like other bands they like. That's about it.
This what I would classify as: fucking rad.
