I know the band attempted to create a bigger, much more grandiose sound on this album, but it didn't take away from their impressive songwriting. Apart from some of the riffs being a tad repetitive, i quite like this record.

Trouble with this album is, the production squeezes all the sounds together making it hard to

distinguish the various layers (and there is a lot going on), which makes each song sound very similar.

Shame because there are some decent riffs and moments here.

I like the opener

This is my first post and I've been coming to Sputnik for over three years. I've never looked at the ratings for Lamb of God but wow... 3.5 for sacrament? Seriously? Walk with me in hell? Again we rise? Redneck? the list goes on... These are some of the best tracks I've ever heard in my entire fucking life. What else is as ORIGINAL as this? Please show me a band that is this ORIGINAL?



It just goes to show that you can't totally rely on reviews to determine whether or not you should listen to a band or not. I can't even fathom how many people may have been turned off from Lamb of God because of the mediocre reviews they've garnered on here.



Read up on Lamb of God and you will see exactly how original they truly are. Inward singing. Technical power grooves. Heavy breakdowns that aren't the typical cheese. Breakdowns that will punch your death grandmother in the her stupid rotting rib cage.



All I'm saying is... I'm drunk... and... Lamb of God is popular for a fucking reason and no it wasn't because of the media. I think there are too many anti-mainstream folks here on sputnik that dislike anything popular no matter how good they might be.
