I can see why Nobody flopped as the single, with him singing like that and people wondering if that was just gonna be the whole album lmao.
In context of the album it wasn't awful though, had some cool moments like the titular line w/ that guitar tone.
We Love You also had some sweet wild shit in the back half.
Cosmic is really fucking nice.
What the fuck.

I'm shocked at how much I'm enjoying this, and kudos for an established act like A7X making a risk. Some lessons for other bands to learn.

again, i have never listened to this band beyond a handful of scattered songs over the years but this album is in the process of making me a fan.

Yeah I was hesitant to admit it at first but the singles fit here like a glove. I even enjoy We Love You now which I thought was fucking atrocious when it was released. Such a strange phenomenon that an album's surroundings can somehow make a song that's bad on its own somehow sound magical.

"Cosmic" is my runaway favorite, but this might end up a 3.5ish or so, which is crazy to think about lol. Well played.

"again, i have never listened to this band beyond a handful of scattered songs over the years but this album is in the process of making me a fan."
I was a p big fan of Waking the Fallen and immediately dropped off when City of Evil sounded annoying as shit vocally and I heard a few singles off self titled that were boring and lame as shit and p much thought they were shit from that day forward and never bothered with them.
Now I might need to go back and at least check Nightmare/The Stage.

The piano outtro nice, was kind of hoping for a big epic HEAVY METUHL closer to tie it all together but all in all very surprised to be giving this a 3.5 with potential to bump.

That’s exactly my feeling as well. Very entertaining album and a lot is working pretty well. Don’t know how they managed to come up with something like this.

Shadows is like 50% annoying as shit, 40% just fine and 10% actually brilliant moments, it's frustrating but at least he doesn't sound like dogshit 100% of the time.

I dont understand how anyone could ever slack off Nobody as a single because holy fuck its a full meal of an experience, especially paired with that music video. actual 11/10.

The isolated vocal track is probably one of the most comically bad sounding things ever recorded but I do think it works well enough with the song
but I know the vocals are what everybody hated when it droped

I don't think I've ever been made more uncomfortable by a vocal performance, M sounds like he's crooning in my ear the whole album in the worst possible way. Music is respectable tho tbf.

I haven't listened to this yet, but I don't think I've ever seen such a difference on here in pre-release reaction and post-release reaction towards an album (or at least, not from overwhelmingly negative to highly positive like this)
