This was a great first listen and my first of this band.
I like the clever song structures of many of the songs on the album like for example Reduced To Teeth.
It also has a very nice atmosphere and I can already imagine some nice worlds and places in my mind with this album.
Yeah I agree about Brother Bleed Brother. So far to me there's no weak song on it that I would always skip.

I'd probably 4.5 this if Revelation Song, A Piece of Mind, Fireflies, and Reduced to Teeth weren't a part of it. They're way too "meh" to me and make me not listen to this album much outside throwing on Insomniatic Meat every once in a while.
What It Is to Burn is still my favorite of theirs and I listen to the fuck out of it regularly.

I think Revelation Song and A Piece of Mind are totally forgettable songs and Reduced to Teeth has great verses but the chorus ruins it for me. Every other song on here is fantastic though I've never been a fan of the production of Nate's vocals on this one.

I don't get criticism for A Piece Of Mind (great chorus and I like the where are you) and Reduced To Teeth, they're excellent, same with Revelation Song, there I love the bridge before the last chorus.

They haven’t made a formal announcement but apparently they’re back together again (for the third time)
No we just need them to properly release Phantasm and World Of Violence those demos kicked ass and were suppose to continue this sound.

finch reunion with the phantasm tracks would be incredible. I dont mind one or two of the poppy throw back songs but Nate had the better taste if he was championing Phantasm

This was the album that got me into post hardcore, and then heavy music in general.
Easily one of my top 5 albums of all time.

BBB and Bitemarks remain my standouts. Hell they'd probably rank on my top 50 all-time songs if I bothered to compile.

The end of Hopeless Hosts was my favorite part of the album 10 years ago... and I’m pretty sure it still is today. Hard to pick just one moment on the album though.

Casket is crazy. Very Dillinger-esque. Which my 12 year old brain didn’t know how to process when this first came out haha.
I feel like this album is timeless. In the sense that I think it would have a great critical reception if it were to come out now. I’d say they were ahead of their time, but this album is so unique that I can’t think of many comparable modern bands.
Edit: Ravenous is now my favorite. Which was one of my least favorites 10 years ago
