To put it bluntly, Matt Bellamy has pretty much ruined my enjoyment of any of their discog. His vox are annoying as hell (I'm not sure how I tolerated them when I was younger), and it wouldn't be so bad if he didn't smother every goddamn crevice of the music with his singing, guitar, piano/keys, or all three at once. Sometimes I forget that there are two other members of the band, because they're not given nearly as much to do

I kinda feel the same even though the old stuff is still rather enjoyable. For me, I think it's just growing older and having different tastes: as a teenager, old Muse came across as pretty epic (like Knights of Cydonia), but now a lot of that stuff seems forced.
