I think it's more of an age filter. Zoomers love this shit. We're getting old boys

Just finished this today. I miss the post punk/noise rock era of these guys a lot, but the jazz rock fan in me really fucks with where they went with this. I probably still think their first album is their best. Heard a few cuts from the last one and didn’t feel really interested in listening to the whole thing at the time. Should I go back and give it a shot?

I’m going to watch ‘em tomorrow night with fellow old cunts (wooh, 39 years old is old) so will see if we’re surrounded by zoomers. My guess is a mixed crowd

I'm really loving their shift to jazz rock I feel like it suits their improvisation/ chaotic live performance better.

Man the difference in rating of this band from here to RYM is bonkers.

Theyre all like 0.2 different from sput? Can you explain why thats bonkers?

Also, if youre digging these guys and havent watched their live recordings youre missing out.

Live performance left me thinking they’re a jazz ensemble at heart

The best moments live were all time great, intense, unique, really special

Other bits were wtf but…I still liked that. Insanely talented but I guess you’d say too ambitious at times as the live setting means some stuff just can’t translate. Vocals an issue a lot of the time live but they add just enough I’d not want the band fully instrumental

Can you think of many other artists not also in the Windmill scene where RYM doesn't collectively rate lower or much lower than Sput but actually several points higher?

Well first I had to find out wtf the windmill scene is. Which I found on RYM, apparently it's a live music venue in England. Sounds like a cool place but I don't see the relevance to my question, I don't care for it, and I won't respond to it
