how's the vocalist for that group

I feel like that factor goes the farthest in deciding if I'll like a metal band, lol. Next factor would be quality of riffs/solos/guitars and how they're used (elaborately constructed atmosphere? wall of sound?). Drumming is important too but not the end-all.

more harsh on the first two (especially the first) but trends toward a half clean shout style. not really a traditionally good singer. similar to mastodon

Hearing a lot of Baroness so I'll check them eventually, probably after I indulge in Crack the Skye lol. Will also keep Ghost and Kvelertak in the back of my mind; it's great to have options. I don't want to promise too much at once because I'm terrible at following through on recs.
