I can't get to grips with the production on this. Listening to this half a dozen times on some (pretty good) speakers and then going back to Relentless Mutation is like going from a construction site to a proper concert hall.

Relentless was very immediate and likeable probably an instant classic but this one is a grower and has some incredible moments. I think it is more demanding to the ear. Fantastic band considering the ridiculous music they play.

Really split on this, on the one hand Bleed the Future vibes harder than anything on RM, on the otherhand, Acrid Cannon and Reverie on the Onyx are worse than anything on that record. At least I can bump it to a 4.5

I might bump this up, can't stop listening to it. This and the new Mol are heavy in the rotation, but I can play this back to back two or three times and still get a kick out of it.
