Im giving the time machine some love. I think its really good.
What is everyone's thoughts on the prevalence of the synth keyboard throughout most of the songs. It sort of annoys me its the same tone throughout in most songs.
Not sure if i like it or not, hoping with more listens it sort of drops into the background more, i find my ears focusing on it too much at the moment.

This morning I single'd out "Hell On Earth" and "The Parchment" and my god, what a difference. If you listen to them without the burden of the previous tracks you'll realize how great these two songs are, especial "Hell On Earth".
I mean, i can't understand a Maiden fan not being moved by that last track, it's Maiden at its best. I also feel bad for saying Harris is the less talented writer, he might be be over-ambitious at times, but fuck me if he doesn't strile brilliance from time to time.

Liking the album, but I do think that like the past several albums that it's too long and would be better if some of the songs were shorter. And ending the album with three songs over 10 minutes was a bit much. If the songs were spread around, I would probably like it more. But it's still a solid release.
