I recognise that his vocals are just ridiculous, yet I still love them...

--Dunno about this one. There’s far too many times I find myself thinking ‘put a sock in it ya big tart’--

This made me chuckle. Ha ha.

Pika

I firmly stand by that ranking. Congregation is simply the best put together album Leprous has ever made, with Pitfalls showing their mastery of songwriting and atmosphere. Bilateral is slightly inconsistent but a majority of the songs have a ton of vigor and technicality that make it super engaging to listen to. Coal, Poppy and Malina all have their moments but are also way more inconsistent than the rest of the output they’ve had. Malina being the biggest offender with a wack track structuring.

None of those albums suck, Leprous is one of my all time favorite bands. But Congregation and Pitfalls are so vastly superior from a songwriting perspective, it’s not even a contest.

I do. This is really some greatness. Not at all what I wanted, but it delivered.

No Coal? Shame for an otherwise amazing setlist

Congregation is really solid but I hate Triumphant and Within My Fence. If those songs weren't on there it'd probably be my second favorite Leprous.

Agreed in these two songs being the weakest on TC. It's a pretty long recird as well, those songs wouldn't be missed tbh. Could have been bonus tracks

The Congregation is probably still their second-best record just behind Bilateral.

It's funny how most people hate triumphant while I love it personally

I honestly cannot really rank Leprous albums nowdays as each of them is so different and succeeds at what it wanted to be good at. I do return to Congregation more often than other albums nowdays though (Slave+lower is my choice for "im in a bus and have 10-15mins to listen to music" situation).

And yeah guys, don't forget that technically Golden Prayers is a part of this album too. Probably my top3 Leprous song
