??? Erm, Wikipedia...
'LimeWire is a discontinued free peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) client for Windows, OS X, Linux and Solaris.[2] LimeWire used the gnutella network as well as the BitTorrent protocol.[3] A freeware version and a purchasable "enhanced" version were available. BitTorrent support is provided by libtorrent.'
OK, makes sense in context. Pretty sure I only started exploring these sorts of possibilities about 18 months ago (at the ripe old age of 30). Kids have been doing this shit for years I guess.

Yes. When I was sixteen I LimeWired all day every day. Downloading individual songs, getting Within Temptation, Nightwish and The Gatering all mixed up because tags were almost always off. Those were the days.
But we are only a few years apart then. Didn't you use Napster or Kazaa or something like that in the early to mid 2000s?

Nope, I was old school. Physical or die. The only things I used computers for were education related requirements, or for playing games on (which meant heavily gravitating towards consoles). Then when I was eventually able to I started doing the odd bit of online shopping.

My friend used to have an Amazon addiction. Like he had to buy something every day. Strange times.

I used to buy batches of CDs using Amazon, went in completely blind and bought like 7-10 at a time - i.e. I'd read about the releases but heard nothing. Thinking about that now feels me with dread, what an absurd way of wasting a lot of perfectly good money? Given my music-enjoying hit rate I wouldn't be confident of getting much value out of doing that now.

Gotcha. I also bought CDs by the way, still do, but this was the way to check whether I needed to buy or not.
Amazon was my way to go too, along with actual stores, but Discogs has taken over big time.

Should feature highly on all and every decade top 100 album list...just have a feeling it won't though
An easy one to underestimate

Had to change the rating. This really does have something special.

Album Rating: 4.0
This album didn't cause much fuss, not a lot of hype or marketing, not the most eye catching album cover...entirely about the music.
It delivers.
Because it doesn't have a 'story' or 'social resonance' or whatever I expect it to be forgotten by the critics lists the next few months. There's nothing trendy about it.

Nah. It’s too special for that and it carries Yorkes name on it so it won’t just disappear completely.
Besides there’s a few declaring it his greatest solo work and will be regarded as such further down the line.

I agree with zak that Yorke's name will be enough for critics to note this

it already missed a spot on Pitchfork's top 200...I dunno, not expecting much more than the occasional late appearance in a few top 100s

I'm sure this will make some year end lists but I don't expect to see it on many decade lists.
