When I first heard the record it was FXMLDR. But yeah Anchor is their best shit.

Yeah it's a tedious listen, I just realized I haven't spun this since not long after release. I remember liking their debut a hell of a lot more, but it had a lot of fun moments. Time to dive back in I think. I remember finding this one rather homogeneous but I probably just need more time with it.

I love "Maps of Non-Existent Places", so many great jams and moments on it. This one feels must more dense, but not an album I'd like to sit through the entirety of in one go. The first half of the album is excellent, then dips a little and comes back at the end. It's just a LOT to listen to.

Chromology is still a solid fucking song. Saw these guys live in Fairfield, CT a few weeks back and they killed. Also got to catch Bent Knee same show, they were tight.

AOTY for me. I totally get the complaints about it being too much in one sitting - I usually take issue with longer albums myself. But somehow this thing is a breeze to listen to. Been listening to it regularly since release and haven’t even begun to get remotely bored with it.

oh my god I'm finally giving this a true shot besides just the singles, and it's less obtuse the more I listen. Finding all the right hooks, memorable moments, etc. It's long but flies by if you turn it on while working out, working, gaming, etc. Smoked a couple spliffs on the deck last night with this and it was a blast.

Relistened to this at work the other day - still fucking adore it. For such a massive album, it never fails to be an absolute joy to listen to every second of the way.

I've been flirting with a 5 on this for awhile. It's super engaging and memorable despite it's length.

do they have a better hook than FXMLDR? A Salesman's Guide and Feed Your Horses are the only incredibly strong arguments against it. maybe the verse in Mr. Invisible if that counts

The chorus on on Everyday Ghosts. The absolute glory of Chromology. This thing is too rad.

i'll never get over how I thought their last album had a length problem and feared when I saw this one far exceeding that and yet it's leagues better and all of these songs are far more memorable

i think Everyday Ghosts was my least favorite on this specifically for the chorus which I still like but ehh not my favorite.
