I kinda got TS vibes with the vox at points and the brass sections. It's just a joke, these guys are miles away from them. All good Mars this was def a worthwhile rec and I'm glad you shouted it out.

Hope the lads are still around, they've been quiet for over a year now and this was released four years ago. Time flies...

Check Zapruder is an idea. A movement. And a movement that will not die so long as I draw breath.

I'm surprised we're not already there, although perhaps my perception of this has been distorted by your cult-like praise and the 'check' memes etc.
I might have guessed at around double in all honesty, feels like a 140-ish ratings type release to me

I need to sit down and actually try this with no preconceptions. Every time I I’ve tried it the clean vocals completely turn me off

drunkenness and (sometimes the 'illusion of') inspiration often converge, so yeah I can see that, lol

He really is one of the more distinct vocalists I've heard in metalcore. He really started to come into his own with his overdramatic bluesy cleans and I loved it.

hang on, did they really break up? Oh man. Poor Mars :-(
I would have enjoyed seeing their evolution after this gem

Yeah, they did indeed call it a day.
Someone else is gonna need to pick up the blues-core mantle... hopefully.

Trophy Scars will rise up and make bluesy cowboy metalcore. I’m rolling it with my magic pigeon bones

I do still think this has a rock flair to it regardless of whether or not I sourced it properly. It's part of what makes this unique; there's a playfulness to it, and then a strong blues element that seamlessly blends into their style.
They did it so effortlessly while also showing plenty of potential to expand upon it. Sucks to hear they just lost the creative fire.
