So you admit to having heard this. I don't think you want to take the high road.

It's just banter, I wanted this to have a better average because it's not a bad album lol. It's objectively a 4-3.5 for me.

Album is quite a fun listen actually, Break it to Me oddly reminds me of old Gorillaz for some reason

This is what muse has been trying to do for their last 3 albums but done much better than they have. It very rarely drags like the others, and does a pretty good job with the new synth-pop sound. Muse aren't the same people they were, and I don't think we'll ever get another album like their first 3, but just because they are heading in a different direction than their classics doesn't necessarily make it bad. Drones had a lot of good tracks but the title "drones" was pretty fitting for some of it like the globalist that droned on for 10 long minutes (and I usually love drawn out songs, but with the globalist there wasn't really anything to justify its length). In this new direction they're going, despite being different and not as good as their original style, it is improving in its own way despite being more dissimilar to their older albums. When compared to them, I don't believe Muse will ever create an album that can compare to them, or at least fairly do so in the same way, simply because of how much they have changed. If you were a fan of them due to their older work it's understandable, Origins of Symmetry was a great album that got me into the band originally, but people need to accept that Muse will never make another Origins of Symmetry.

propaganda is so bad

I'll dig this if someone convinces me that with this album they returned to the simplicity of showbiz.

This more like a pure synth pop album, so it's more simplistic than probably anything they released after Showbiz. But at the same time it's full of layers, you know? But it's really good, give it a try and don't take it too seriously. Muse themselves don't do that. In this regard Muse are very much like Queen I'd say

Floozy
You got me trapped in your dark fantasy world
Don't you know you make me woozy?
You have me wrapped around your little finger
Baby, don't you know
You can't lose
You make me offers that I can't refuse
You keep telling pretty lies
You're tired with the truth
Only you're killing me with your
