Thought the instrumentals were up there but didn't blow my tits off like The Mountain or blow my ass out like Affinity. Might have been since I was working when listening to it, also didn't really jell with the first two tracks in general as they're kinda straightforward without much build up.

"This is best Haken. Imagine if they got heavier" It might be the biggest problem I'm having with this album tbh. It's so much more focussed on being heavy and technical. I think Haken are at their best when they focus on melody and sprinkle more of the technicality throughout it all without having it at the forefront so much as here. Visions and The Mountain do that quite a bit better imo, which is why they're my personal favorites.
