am excited for it!!!

even though i still haven't heard any of the others whoops

gonna do a Sowing and go in blind, 5 it, and make enormous statements about how much everything else she has built her career out of has a lot to live up to on a purely retroactive basis, get that rev up

tbh i can't really see it disappointing many people, it's a detour from her more recent ventures but still every bit as dark/depressing as this and the thou collab. idk tho, hoping it'll be received well lol

I mean,I hope I'm wrong!

Personally it's at the bottom of her discog for me right now, not because it's bad, but because everything else she has done it's on the 4.5-5 region!

But still, it's a stunner.

@johnny go chrono

Razor's Edge sounds like a Jackson C Frank song more than SKM broski

Yeah her songwriting on Engine is as strong as ever, feels like the more limited sonic palette just lowers the ceiling a bit because her similar melodic approach don’t have as many layers to disappear in, and the fewer dynamics mean the stripped back emotionality doesn’t hammer in as hard as Real Big Sky does at the end of MfD

But porc, that's one of her best tunes oh my!

Still haven't heard the new one, going in tomorrow.

Oh agreed!! Real Big Sky is prob one of my favorite songs!! I think it just has even harder impact ‘cause the quietness of it gets extra oomph following the thicker times of the rest of the songs, and not having that on Engine kind of takes away a little of that oomph even if her songwriting is still stunning
