Overhyped.

I've been there a few times and it's not terrible. You just gotta wait forever and get some really decent food.

glad you guys are recognizing Grand Paradise as one of the top tracks here. also agree with ashcrash, if almost half the tracks are a 3.5 or worse then how can the album be a 5?

Part of the album experience is collectively how it makes you feel. Like, an album where every song is a 4/5 collectively deserves to be a 4.5 minimum in my book.

This will prob fall to a 4.7 or a 4.5

Heartbeats is not a good song. I find that I enjoy most of this on a basic level but it's a bit too adulterated (especially the vocals) for me to really get behind it. Three listens in...

Maybe I'm not as forward thinking as I thought but the falsetto and cliched synths kind of kill this for me. Like I know that buried in this record is something I'd really enjoy, but I'm not feeling it at all.

Like on the opener, when it really kicks in I would totally love it if not for the angry Elmo falsettos.

Heartbeats, Crown Candy, and Lich Prince are all really boring. I like individual parts of all 3, but as a whole they feel lazy and gimmicky. Lich is so derivative of BN it's insane

What BN song sounds anything remotely like Lich Prince because that statement baffles me

I don't find Lich derivative of BN at all and its easily one of the best here for its ending alone

Have you listened to Science Fiction or Daisy? I'm confused as to how someone couldn't see the similarities.

I get huge Daisy vibes from this album vocally and huge SF vibes instrumentally but Lich Prince isn't one of the songs where I hear either influence

I hear both there - instrumental elements of Daisy too, gives me a "Bought a Bride" vibe if I had to name a specific track, I guess

There are elements in some tracks for sure, his screams at times sound verbatim to one of Jesse's
